Therapeutic Activities
An
important part of our care plan is to ensure that
each resident has an opportunity to participate
in
interesting, engaging daily activities and special
events designed for a variety of interests and
abilities, which
benefit self-esteem, pleasure, comfort, health,
creativity, spirituality, and success.
Volunteers are an integral part of this team, along
with teen-aged students who work onsite assisting
residents in
their activity pursuits. Besides
a busy day for the residents, the Therapeutic
Activities Department plans a variety of festive
events and
entertainments such as evening concerts, welcome tea
parties, elegant night club events, gala balls and
dances, and
inventive resident productions. These festive, gala
events give the family members and staff from other
departments a chance to enjoy celebrating happy
times with residents.
