We know that personal involvement from our staff, friendly chats, and smiles are important to the general well-being. Our time is also devoted to residents’ families and their physicians.   Short-term Recovery & Rehabilitation
Our rehabilitation care team is made up of experienced occupational, speech, and physical therapists, as well as nurses, social workers, and certified nursing assistants. Their goals are the same as yours: focus on health and wellness activities to maximize independence and minimize your length of stay. We offer pre-discharge home evaluations from our staff, patient and family education and home care services planning, as well as resident and family services.

Social Services
Our Social Services department, staffed with concerned and dedicated professionals, helps residents adjust to becoming members of their new community. They work with the resident on a one-to-one basis and serve as a liaison between staff and families. They are here to answer questions and offer support and guidance.

Recreation Programs
Our recreation program keeps residents socially involved with the world around them. An important part of our care plan is giving each resident an opportunity to participate in daily activities. The recreation program at Hudson Pointe is diversified, innovative, and carefully designed by a staff that truly cares about the residents they serve. It is geared toward independence and self-fulfillment. Volunteers are an integral part of this team.

The recreation staff continually develops new programs based on residents’ suggestions. Some of the many activities include:

Therapeutic Activities

An important part of our care plan is to ensure that each resident has an opportunity to participate
in interesting, engaging daily activities and special events designed for a variety of interests and abilities,
which benefit self-esteem, pleasure, comfort, health, creativity, spirituality, and success.
Volunteers are an integral part of this team, along with teen-aged students who work onsite assisting residents in their activity pursuits. Besides a busy day for the residents, the Therapeutic Activities Department plans a variety of festive events and entertainments such as evening concerts, welcome tea parties, elegant night club events, gala balls and dances, and inventive resident productions. These festive, gala events give the family members and staff from other departments a chance to enjoy celebrating happy times with residents.
