At Hudson Pointe, we’re committed to helping our residents maintain and form meaningful friendships.
Older adults with strong friendships report feeling less loneliness and a stronger sense of well-being and purpose. For this reason, we truly believe one of the greatest gifts of life is friendship. And the good news is, you’re never too “old” to step out of your comfort zone and make new friends.
So, this August, we focused on expanding our social events so our residents could better connect.

Hello August BBQ!

We welcomed August with open arms and full plates at our August 1st Resident BBQ!

Staff and residents alike soaked up the summer while sharing stories, family photos, and laughs. Our most popular dish was the fresh watermelon.

Spanish Mass

Later in the week, residents gathered together for the Spanish mass, exchanging prayers in their native tongue.

Residents discussed their favorite passages and practiced gratitude.

Creativity & Fun!

All month long the fun continued as residents gathered together for fun & games!

We hosted Trivia Nights, Arts and Crafts nights, and Daily Coffee Socials. As always, we continued to host music therapy classes, aromatherapy sessions, and discussions on current events.

As August comes to an end, the staff at Hudson Pointe is glad to report that we’ve seen more friendships formed over hot coffee and friendly discussion this month than ever before, which was shown at our August Birthday Celebration!

Residents came together and sang in celebration of their new friends. Because, after all, it is our bonds with others that make life worth living.

We’re excited to see what September has to bring for Hudson Pointe.
